    Little intake filters??

    is it better to have them breather filters or just have the holes from the engine to the intake? whats better and why?


    The two little filters in the pix. one on the intake and one on the engine

            also, 2 of them aren't needed, as you could put a vaccum cap on the intake tube and save $10 . later.

                  ok so i guess am suppose to make this ghetto thing then lol. but like i asked before what is the purpose of a breather filter or even a catch can? why do people usually put them on there car?

                  just want to learn more and more about are honda accords.

                        why not just put the breather filter and clean it out every once in a while like i do with the regualar filter on the intake. clean it out with the intake cleaner and spray.

                          Breather Filters can cause lost in power. Putting a breather filter on changes the pressures within the PCS valve resulting in less pressure to the crank and in return more positive blow-by which can result in the loss of cylinder pressure.

                          The oil catch can is recommended over the filters. The filters are cosmetics and both are not really necessary on a stock engine.

                            o ight. ok so it can cause lost of power but its not something that is a known fact then. and yes this is something i want to put a on stock engine just to help it out and give it a longer life.

                              it dont sound like your reading, its not going to help any might loose power, might get oil in engine bay, have to clean, cost money, there are better solutions, just dont do it plus its not going to make engine last longer.

                              now if you wana put it on just for looks or kicks or what ever the reason is, then do it. it looks hot tho
