ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The clutch Pedal is All the way to the Floor

When I was coming from work...the car was going fine until i shifted my clutch pedal wasn't coming out all the way, and when i came home it was okay. So i went to the store and when i started my car it started ...but the pedal never came back up and when i looked in the master slave cylinder...there was no oil. Is there any way i can bleed my Accord 93 Ex?

fill up the fluid, and then on the front of your engine/tranny there is a bleeder valve, open it a little and have someone pump the clutch until fluid starts coming up.

When was the last time you checked your clutch fluid? I would check around the lines and the master/slave cyls to verify you don't have a leak somewhere. When you do get around to bleeding the clutch line, go ahead and spring for just a bit extra brake fluid so that you go ahead and flush that line while you're at it, instead of just bleeding the bubbles out.

It could be the master or slave. The master cylinder is the one up top, where the reservoir is. The slave cylinder is where the bleeder valve is (pictured above)

The fluid doesn't go anywhere unless you have a leak... so you have a leak. The master cylinder is the more common one to fail. It usually leaks inside your car, so feel the carpet near your clutch pedal. If it's oily, there's your leak. You can also inspect the slave cylinder, and look at your lines. If you've recently installed anything that goes near the lines (motor mounts, intake manifold, etc...) then you may have damaged one and not realized it.

I would replace both the master and slave cylinder together. They aren't extremely expensive, and it will save you trouble in the future. If one went out, the other one probably isn't far behind.

You will have to bleed the system when you replace those parts. That can be a pain in the ass.

I had the same problem about a year ago. In my case it was the master not the slave. Easy fix.

bleeding the slave cylinder is pretty easy although its 10x easier with 2 people, i think it takes a 11mm socket on the bleeder basically you need someone to pump the pedal while you bleed it, this should push all the air out of it, while your doing this keep putting dot3 brake fluid in the reservoir to fill it up, then you should get the same tension back in the pedal eventually

                  this is VERY true.

My slave cylinder went out on me with the single cam in my car. Driving down the road and go to down shift at a stop light and the pedal didnt come back up...kinda shocking at first. lol

when it went out on me, i could touch the little rubber boot on the slave cylinder and fluid would shoot out.

Change both the slave and the master, for some stupid reason if you change just one, the other craps out on you later on.
