ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

i had them on a motorcycle once and they were garbage. sometimes the bike would not start if i had them on. Once i would take them off, it would start. All they are is a capacitor inside.Just get an msd box and you'll have better results.

"Before you invest in cold air
              intakes, exhaust headers, nitrous
or cat-back exhaust, plug in some
              REAL POWER WITH DIRECTHITS. "

An ignition upgrade will generate minimal gains at best on our cars... and that's for a REAL ignition upgrade, like something from MSD. These things can't be good... and the fact that they're so adamant about telling us how great they are makes me believe that even more.

The best spark plugs we can get are NGK Irridium IX.

It's easy to make it sound good. MORE SPARK! MORE POWER!

For a heavily modified engine, it IS important to have a more powerful spark. However, fancy plugs won't do the trick. This is the same sort of idea as the Nology Hotwires that were selling for $150 a set.

Aren't these similar to the Pulstar plugs?

The pulsar plugs don't even make thet much sense.

Reading this article It shows that the pulsars dont help untill after 3250+ rpm and are good for like 5-10 HP/TQ.

But the dyno also shows a 5 HP/TQ LOSS at 2750 rpm and who knows below that... since the dyno dosen't pick it up that low...

Maybe good If you are in the high RPM's a lot such as in a track car, (they don't even reccomend it for modified motors!) but not for your daily driver where you are usualy only around 3000 RPM...

A waste of money If you will be spending $25 for four of them ($25x4=$100...)

Get yourself a generic CAI and a p12 ecu for that price.

                        EDIT:
                        Reading Direct hits FAQ...

Question: What do I need to install DirectHits?

Answer: You will need the normal tools associated with changing your spark plugs, and you must reset the computer once the system is installed. If you have any questions call the DirectHits technical support number for assistance at (888) 800-6700

$5 says not only the placebo effect, but the fact they want you to reset the ecu to reset the saved map makes it seem more powerful for a little while.

Question: Does DirectHits interfere with my other bolt-ons like a cool air intake, turbo/super charging, nitrous, exhaust, etc?

Answer: No. But, DirectHits can augment their performance.

                        Augment?

Those seem strange. there isn't a spark plug of any type that will give you that much more power. unless you're running 500 hp h22 wit stock plugs and then u upgrade to the next stage or these. but runnin stokers in a turboed motor is stupid neway,
