obd2 engine in 91 cb7

Simple, how do I do this? What will I need? Sorry can't search forums from phone

Search when you get home.....

A conversion harness to start, along with a compatible ECU.

jaemil369 04-08-2012 02:29 PM

This is my access to internet. What ecu do I need? And I thought the conversion harnesses where for older engines in newer cars not newer engines in older cats???

deevergote 04-08-2012 02:32 PM

OBD1 distributor, injectors, and ECU.

We need more information to help you out. What obd2 motor are you trying to swap?

False. F23A1.

illinois_erik 04-08-2012 03:41 PM

you could tether your phone to your computer and use teh intarwebs that way

jaemil369 04-08-2012 07:17 PM

Correct you are f23a1 or a4. So my? Is, what will I need for this swap. I know I need a 0bd1 vtec ecu which can be found from a 95 accord. Feel free to correct me. Thanks

deevergote 04-08-2012 09:53 PM

There is no OBD1 equivalent ECU for the F23A.

jaemil369 04-08-2012 10:58 PM

Ok I figured that prob out. Anyone know what the deal is with the fuel rail? Some say it wont work others never mentioned it

deevergote 04-09-2012 09:50 AM

I believe the fuel rail is the same for all F and H engines.

SOHC-FTW 04-09-2012 11:34 AM

The fuel feed line & banjo nut is on the passenger side for the f22a's fuel rail as to where on the f22b/f23 it is on the driver side. When i had a f22b1 my fuel feed line had to be extended, but you should be able to inter change the rails between the engines with little to no modifications.

deevergote 04-09-2012 02:00 PM

The JDM H22 has the same issue, with the feed on the other side. The easiest way to correct that is to just use the F22A rail. It's the same size.

Thanks deevergote, that's what I was wondering. I picked the f23 up today. Other than the cracked valve cover it looks pretty good. I'm gonna go ahead and do the 5sp swap since its all gonna be out and I have everything (except drivers manual cv)

deevergote 04-09-2012 08:49 PM

You'll need to weld in the manual transmission mount bracket, or use a conversion mount from ESP. Overlook that step, and you'll be breaking axles like crazy.

jaemil369 04-09-2012 09:23 PM

My buddy that I got the swap from said to drill a new whole since the mount is already onto it. Would that work?

deevergote 04-09-2012 09:25 PM

Both things are necessary. Drilling the new "whole", and swapping the mount bracket (or using a conversion mount.)

Trust me. I don't type things just because I like the sound of my keyboard.

jaemil369 04-09-2012 09:42 PM

So just drilling the whole for the bracket and bolting it up alone wont work? Ill have to have it welded still?
